October 5 - 11 - Ghost Ranch, NM
This is one of my favorite
places to paint! Finally after fifteen years we have been able to arranged for better housing. We have several of the new double occupancy rooms on the mesa with a private bath and the balance of the rooms are in a section with double occupancy rooms and a shared bath. No more waking outside in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom facilities. The heaters and plumbing work. We arrive on Sunday afternoon October 5 in time for dinner and have an informal get together Sunday evening. Monday morning after breakfast we meet and start the painting workshop. Weather permitting there is a wonderful variety of landscapes to choose from. The drive along the Chama River is really incredible to see and paint. No hiking involved. I know that has been of concern to some in the past. Each evening we will get together in our designated studio space to critique, listen to instruction and paint. Five days and nights. Saturday after breakfast we depart. Most people arrange to spend some time that weekend in Santa Fe or Taos. It's a great chance to visit the various galleries. The fee is $1075 for mesa rooms and $950 for the others. Rooms are given on a first come bases. Workshop deposits are $500. The balance is due by September first. There is a full deposit refund until September first. After that no refunds can be promised. This fee includes six nights lodging, three meals per day, tuition, plus studio and workshop fees.
