Autumn Flow - Pastel Video Demonstration - 16" X 20" The demonstration begins with how the painting is composed and sketched out on the surface. The under painting is developed to establish color and value relationships. Turpenoid is used to scrub in the under tone which creates a preliminary structure for the painting that follows. Next, working from dark to light and thin to thick with layers of clean color, the painting transitions for large simple shapes to small shapes that suggest detail.
